In the end, a sport analogy may be apt. If my favorite team is in the baseball playoffs, I would probably want the pitcher who is most likely to win, even if I don’t like the pitcher personally. I may even find myself making excuses for or ignoring his negative traits and focus on him getting the win for the team. An interesting difference between Canada and the USA is in Canada we don’t vote for the head of our country, but rather political parties.
