This is not a very philosophically sophisticated argument, but it is one that helped me to escape from the idiocy of Christianity:


1. Jehovah is a sexist (if Jehovah exists).
Therefore,
2. Christianity is a false religion.


This is, of course, a very condensed summary of an argument, and requires a bit of filling out to reveal the logic of my reasoning, and various assumptions required to get from (1) to (2).



First, let’s work from the beginning and head a ways towards the end:


1. Jehovah is a sexist (if Jehovah exists). [premise]
3. Either Jehovah exists or it is not the case that Jehovah exists. [tautology]
4. If Jehovah exists, then Jehovah is a sexist. [inferred from (1)]
5. If it is not the case that Jehovah exists, then Jehovah is a false god and Judaism is a false religion. [analytic truth]


6. If Jehovah is a sexist, then Jehovah cannot be both omniscient and perfectly good. [analytic truth]
7. If Jehovah is either not omniscient or not perfectly good, then Jehovah is not God. [analytic truth]
Thus:
8. If Jehovah is a sexist, then Jehovah is not God. [inferred from (6) and (7)]
9. If Jehovah is not God, then Jehovah is a false god and Judaism is a false religion. [analytic truth]
Thus:
10. If Jehovah is a sexist, then Jehovah is a false god and Judaism is a false religion. [inferred from (8) and (9)]


11. Either Jehovah is a sexist or it is not the case that Jehovah exists. [inferred from (3) and (4)]
Thus:
12.  Either Jehovah is a false god and Judaism is a false religion or Jehovah is a false god and Judaism is a false religion. [ inferred from (5), (10), and (11)]
Thus:
13.  Jehovah is a false god and Judaism is a false religion. [inferred from (12)]


OK, that get’s us part of the way to (2).
